Olympic Soccer Update: damn, Kristine Lilly is a stud. Ok, young Heather O'Reilly finished it off thanks to good build-up from Wambach and Hamm, both of whom put in great performances yesterday, but Kristine Lilly just continues to impress me with her overall play.

Brasil looked awfully good in the other semi-final. The U.S. can't be complacent headed into the final just because they beat Brasil before. Between Cristiane, Pretinha, Marta, and, well, all the rest of them, plus with Andreia on her game in goal, that's a very strong side who could expose any lack of speed in the U.S. defense and who can turn defenders as easily as they got turned on Germany's goal yesterday.

It's a little disconcerting that it'll be the U.S. trying to kill the creative play rather than be the entertainers, but that's how the final could be won, methinks. And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming...
